Beyond the Quick Start: Mastering Salesforce Management
Our customer is a small team of twenty people passionate about building and providing niche medical devices. They bought Salesforce, Salesforce CPQ and some related tools thinking that a Quick Start implementation would get their complex business process out of PDFs and into the cloud.
However, shortly after their implementation they found that their old Salesforce Partner didn’t quite get it right. Plus once they started using the tool their requirements began to change as they got to know the platform. They had no in house skillset to make changes on their own.
Refreshing to Increase ROI
Obstacle: Our client was struggling to understand how their Salesforce org worked. Overtime a few different admins had built and configured without a guiding architecture or strategy. The scatter shot development approach left them with bits and pieces of configuration everywhere. This made the org difficult to maintain and was starting to affect end user performance.
From Excel to Resource Management
Obstacle: Despite owning a feature rich PSA tool (Certinia PSA), this client was tracking their project delivery team in a spreadsheet. The challenge with that is that spreadsheets are not real time, there was no way to tell when the data was last updated, and the document was prone to complicated formula errors.
Building Order from Chaos
Obstacle: Our customer was operating out of spreadsheets, emails, PDFs and their memories. Their business is in a complicated financial sector and keeping up with the strict federal regulations and financial reporting was a challenge without having a central source of truth.
