The Summer 2024 release includes a number of enhancements to Certinia’s Professional Services (PS) Cloud solution. The goal of this release is help organizations accelerate resource management at scale and include:
Resource shortlisting
In many enterprises, there are multiple stakeholders involved in resource management. Certinia’s shortlisting enables an automated, inclusive workflow that tracks selection and decision-making logic across key stakeholders. This makes assigning resources more collaborative and visible, and also creates insights to selection patterns.
Mass Actions for Project Resource Requests
Resource managers may encounter complex, long-term projects that require multiple assignments. The introduction of mass actions enables resource managers to assign and update several resource requests at with one click. This streamlines resource management by reducing repetitive work.
Demand-side resource requests
Demand-side resource request functionality is a game changer. The new demand-side resource request feature enables customers to identify the right resources for the project schedule, and retain the schedule when a resources is un-assigned. This provides visibility for staffing projects, more accurate forecasting, ultimately enhancing capacity and demand planning.
Services Estimation Done Right
Is your organization using spreadsheets to estimate services? If so, the data is likely disconnected from the sales cycle. The Summer 2024 release includes UX updates in Estimate Builder for services organizations to leverage spreadsheets while making the transition to platform managed estimation. The new spreadsheet-like UX components including copy handles, cell dragging.
Enhancing Delivery Project Financials
looking to enhance services financials tracking? Common challenges project managers have are limited visibility across multiple budgets, including change orders, which limit their ability to mitigate project billing overages. Project managers will now receive budget limit alerts, enabling proactive decisions to expand a project budget or scale down deliverables to align with budgets. Billing caps have also been introduced to prevent billing above the customer’s purchase order.
These enhancements provide additional visibility and help ensure project profitability by mitigating unexpected costs.
Einstein Copilot is More Than Meets the Eye
Generative AI is more than a buzzword, it’s impacting how services businesses manage operations, engage with clients, and showcase value. Certinia’s new GenAI functionality leverages Salesforce Einstein Copilot by offering the first PS Cloud Actions for early adopter customers. Copilot Actions for Services CPQ enables enhanced scoping by using account and delivery data to customer requirements and goals. Accelerate services estimation and SOW creation while continuing to drive revenue and ideal outcomes for your customers.
